Blake Bowman is an American mixed martial artist. Although he did not have any professional bouts at the time, he was a fighter on The Ultimate Fighter: Team Hughes vs. Team Serra, fighting on Team Hughes.[1]
[edit] Ultimate Fighter
Bowman was defeated in his first fight of the competition by Richie Hightower via TKO (strikes), eliminating him from contention. Although not announced until the show's final episode, Bowman's ACL was damaged during this fight. Some fighters in the house, including season 6 winner Mac Danzig, felt Bowman was only in the house for comic relief and not fighting. Danzig verbally went off on Bowman, but later apologized during the season.
[edit] Currently in MMA
After receiving a total ACL replacement, and after completing six months of intensive rehab, Bowman made his professional debut on May 16, 2008 in Indiana and won the fight in just 8 seconds after knocking out his opponent with a kick to the head. Since then he has also won a decision against David Curby and lost to Clay Harvison via Submission at the ISCF - Gladiator X on 13 December 2008. Bowman lost via TKO in the first round to Ryan "Who Dat" Keenan at Rumble in Racetown on February 14, 2009 and also recently lost to Dustin West via TKO in the first round on July 18, 2009. He was the 2nd main event on the Music City MMA: Rock and Havoc card, behind the Shane Primm vs Mike Dolce fight.
