The Blue Island Metra station is the terminus of the Metra Electric Metra line from downtown Chicago, Illinois to Blue Island, Illinois. It is in fare Zone D.

Vermont Street Metra station over the road serves Metra's Rock Island District, which service splits here to the north; most trains run via the Suburban Line, with some rush-hour trains heading north-east. Blue Island and Vermont Street stations share the same parking facilities and bus connections.
