Blue Judy is an indie rock band from Los Angeles, California. The band features intense vocals and dual guitars over hard-hitting, danceable arrangements.
The band had its beginning when Gustavo Galindo met Luke Benedum while they both attended Claremont McKenna College in Claremont, California. The details of the first time the duo played together are hazy, but rumor has it that the performance involved an apartment full of college girls, a good amount or peer pressure, and one of two wearing women's clothing. It was from these humble beginnings that the band began to write and perform in earnest.
After going through several members(none of whom spontaneously combusted), the duo reformed under the name Blue Judy and found the third member of their final lineup in Brian Zarlenga, originally from Rhode Island. Brian called on Matt Maltese, who he met at college in Boston and later reunited with while working at a record label in Los Angeles, to be the group's guitarist.
Several of the band's songs have been featured on popular television shows, including 90210, Ghost Whisperer, and One Tree Hill.
