Bob Hodge (athlete)

Robert J. "Bob" Hodge (born 1955) is an American distance runner who came 3rd in the 1979 Boston Marathon with a time of 2:12:30.[1] He has also won the Mount Washington Road Race (1976–1980, 1985 and 1987),[2] the Bay to Breakers Road Race in San Francisco (1979),[3] and the Beppu-Ōita Marathon in Japan (1982).[4] His personal best time is the 1980 Nike OTC Marathon in Eugene, OR at 2:10:59.[citation needed]
He originally comes from Lowell, MA and graduated in 1990 from the University of Massachusetts Lowell after having left the university in the mid-1970s in order to focus on his athletic career.[5]
