Bonobos is a men's apparel company that manufactures and markets a range of products including pants, shorts, and t-shirts. Clothing is sold direct to consumers through the company's website.

[edit] History

Founder Brian Spaly, after becoming increasingly frustrated trying to find pants that fit him well, borrowed a sewing machine from a girlfriend and began work creating a solution.[1] Encouraged by the positive reaction of friends to the pants, Spaly decided to pursue the project as a business opportunity. Andy Dunn, a classmate of Spaly's at the Stanford University Graduate School of Business joined Spaly as the company's CEO, and the company was relocated to Manhattan in New York City, where it is headquartered today.[1]

[edit] Product

A selection of the company's pants are made using organic cottons and other materials.[2] Bonobos offers a discount program for customers who work in the public sector, education, or nonprofit organizations.[3] Bonobos also offers discounts to new users through an online referral program.
