Borger (52°55′N 6°48′E / 52.917°N 6.8°E / 52.917; 6.8) is a town in the Dutch province of Drenthe. It is a part of the municipality of Borger-Odoorn, and lies about 18 km east of Assen.

In 2001, the town of Borger had 4724 inhabitants. The built-up area of the town was 1.6 km², and contained 2058 residences.[1] The statistical area "Borger", which also can include the surrounding countryside, has a population of around 5110.[2]

Until 1998, Borger was a separate municipality.
