Born–Huang approximation

The Born–Huang approximation (named after Max Born and Huang Kun) is an approximation closely related to the Born–Oppenheimer approximation. It takes into account more nonadiabatic effects in the electronic Hamiltonian than the Born–Oppenheimer approximation.[1]
