Boston Interactive, founded in 1999, is a Boston web design and interactive marketing firm focused on developing and creating web strategies and business solutions for online marketing success. Boston Interactive has serviced hundreds of clients ranging from mid-sized organizations to Fortune 500 corporations, providing website design and development which includes online marketing, brand identity and content management system implementation.[1]

History[edit]

A pioneer in website design and development, Boston Interactive is one of the oldest continually operating website design and development firms in the Boston area. Founded in 1999 by Chuck Murphy as HomepageFX, the company changed its name to Boston Web Design in 2001 and later became Boston Interactive in 2007.[2] The privately held corporation has 40 employees and is currently located in the landmark Schrafft Center in Charlestown, Massachusetts. Lasting through the Dot Com era, the 15 year old company has serviced more than 500 clients and has been named on the Boston Business Journal Pacesetters list[3] and the Inc 500 5000 list[4] for five consecutive years.

Basing its principles on a user-centric design process, Boston Interactive is a leader in the web personalization community and continues to further advance with the 2011 installation of an Eye Tracker Lab.[13] Boston Interactive is the first Boston-area web design firm to utilize eye tracking software to improve the quality assurance phase of the design process.[14]
