The Bosomtwe District is a district of Ghana in the Ashanti Region. It was formed after the Atwima Kwanwoma District was taken out of the former Botsomtwe/Atwima/Kwanhuma District. This was itself carved from the former Ejisu/Juaben/Bosomtwe District. It contains Lake Bosomtwe, one of the largest natural lakes in the world, and the lake resort is a popular tourist destination. The district also contains minable gold, clay, and sand.
