Brändö is an island municipality of Åland, Finland. The municipality has a population of 478 (28 February 2013)[2] and covers an area of 1,648.48 square kilometres (636.48 sq mi) of which 1,540.41 km2 (594.76 sq mi) is water.[1] The population density is 4.42 inhabitants per square kilometre (11.4 /sq mi). The municipality is unilingually Swedish and 84.6% of the population are Swedish speakers.[3]
