Partners is an upcoming American sitcom starring Kelsey Grammer and Martin Lawrence as Chicago lawyers from vastly different backgrounds who develop a partnership after they unexpectedly meet in court on the worst day of their lives.[1][2]

FX has ordered 10 episodes of the sitcom and, if the series does well over its first 10-episode run, the network will order an additional 90 episodes.[2] The sitcom will premiere on August 4, 2014, and will air two back-to-back episodes for five consecutive weeks.[3]

Cast[edit]

  • Kelsey Grammer as Allen Braddock, a hotshot lawyer fired from his own father's firm.
  • Martin Lawrence as Marcus Jackson, a community activist going through a divorce.
  • Rory O'Malley as Michael[4]
  • Edi Patterson as Verushka, a sexy Russian woman who co-owns the massage shop next door.
  • Telma Hopkins as Ruth Jackson, Marcus's mother
  • Danièle Watts as Laura Jackson, Marcus's daughter
  • McKaley Miller as Lizzie Braddock, Allen's daughter

Production[edit]

The pilot will be directed by Kelsey Grammer. It was announced that the show will be filmed in Los Angeles instead of Chicago.[5] The original working titles were, The Partnership and Braddock & Jackson.
