Contents

[edit] Nolan Arenado

[edit] Chad Bettis

Chad Bettis (April 26, 1989 in Lubbock, Texas[1]) is a right-handed pitcher in the Colorado Rockies organization. He currently plays for the Modesto Nuts.

He was drafted by the Rockies in the 2nd round (76th overall) of the 2010 Amateur Draft out of Texas Tech University.[2] He was previously an unsigned draft pick of the Houston Astros in 2007 when he was selected in the 8th round out of Monterey High School in Lubbock, TX.

[edit] Christian Friedrich

[edit] Andy Graham

Andy Graham (June 29, 1984 in Torrance, California ) is a right-handed pitcher for the Colorado Rockies organization.

From University of California-Santa Barbara, he was selected by the Colorado Rockies in the 21st Round (618th overall) of the 2006 amateur entry draft,[4] and currently plays for the AAA Colorado Springs Sky Sox.

[edit] Kala Ka'aihue

Kala Ka'aihue
Colorado Rockies – No. --
First baseman
Born: March 29, 1985 (1985-03-29) (age 26)
Kailua, Hawaii
Bats: Right Throws: Right

Isaiah Kala Ka'aihue (born March 29, 1985, in Kailua, Hawaii) is a first baseman in the Atlanta Braves Farm System. He currently plays for the Mississippi Braves. He is the younger brother of Kila Ka'aihue of the Kansas City Royals. Kala was originally drafted by Boston, but declined and was later drafted by the Braves. He is said to be one of Atlanta's best power prospects, drawing comparisons to Andres Galarraga.

He crushed Myrtle Beach pitching in 2007, with 22 long balls in only 89 games. Those numbers were more than enough to promote him to AA Mississippi for 2008, where he slashed .274/.417/.457 with 14 homers in 376 at-bats. He's a great sleeper prospect, especially for as long as he quietly develops in his older brother's shadow.

[edit] Tyler Matzek

For the 2010 season, he compiled a record of 5-1 and an ERA of 2.92 in 89.1 innings of work over 18 starts for Single-A Asheville. He currently plays for the Asheville Tourists.

[edit] Matt McBride

He was drafted by the Cleveland Indians in the 2nd round (75th overall) of the 2006 Amateur Draft out of Lehigh University.[8] Although he was drafted as a catcher, he has also spent considerable time at first base and in the outfield. In July 2011, he was traded from Cleveland to the Rockies as part of a deal for pitcher Ubaldo Jiménez.[9]

Born: November 9, 1984 (1984-11-09) (age 27)
Bakersfield, California
Bats: Left Throws: Right

Brandon Roberts (November 9, 1984 in Bakersfield, California) is an outfielder in the Colorado Rockies organization originally selected by the Cincinnati Reds in the seventh Round (212nd overall) of 2005 First-Year Player Draft. He is six feet tall and weighs 185 lbs. He bats left-handed, yet plays his position righty.

Brandon was traded by the Reds to the Minnesota Twins for Juan Castro, June 15, 2006. Upon his acquisition, he was assigned to the Twins' advanced A affiliate, the Fort Myers Miracle, with whom he batted .316 with three home runs, 34 RBIs and 40 runs scored in 71 games.

These numbers earned him a promotion to the double-A New Britain Rock Cats for the 2008 season, however, a strained hamstring caused him to be reassigned to Extended Spring Training (he was replaced on the roster by Toby Gardenhire, son of Twins' manager Ron Gardenhire).[14]

Brandon collected three hits in nine at bats during his rehabilitation stint with the Gulf Coast League Twins before being promoted back to Fort Myers. With the Miracle, he batted .409 in eight games. On August 10, he was returned to the Rock Cats.[15]

On January 6, 2012, Roberts signed a minor league deal with the Colorado Rockies.

Keith Weiser (September 21, 1984 in Hamilton, Ohio) is a Minor League Baseball pitcher for the Colorado Rockies organization. From Miami University, he was selected by the Colorado Rockies in the 3rd Round[19] (78th overall) of the 2006 amateur entry draft. He currently plays for the Colorado Springs Sky Sox.

He was drafted by the Rockies in the 1st round (32nd overall) of the 2009 Amateur Draft out of Cal State Sacramento.[22] He was named an outfielder on Baseball America's 2011 Minor League All Star team.[23]

[edit] Joey Williamson

Joseph David "Joey" Williamson (January 28, 1986 in Lantana, Florida[24]) is a right-handed pitcher in the Colorado Rockies organization. He currently plays for the Colorado Springs Sky Sox.
