A Brazilian American refers to immigrants from Brazil or Americans of Brazilian ancestry. There were an estimated 346,000 Brazilian Americans as of 2006.[1] Because of illegal immigration, this number must be a serious undercount. In 2000, there were estimated some 800,000 Brazilians living in the U.S.[2]
