Jason Kendall Adam is an American professional baseball player from Overland Park, Kansas. The right handed pitcher was drafted in the 5th round of the 2010 Major League Baseball Amateur Draft, by the Kansas City Royals.[1]
Adam currently plays for the Kane County Cougars of the Midwest League. The Cougars are a class A affiliate of the Royals in Minor League Baseball.
In his senior season at Blue Valley Northwest High School, Adam threw 41 2/3 innings with a 2.16 ERA. His 79 strikeouts to just 7 walks impressed scouts. Adam signed with the Royals, forgoing his college commitment to the University of Missouri.[2]

Federico Castañeda Sonora (born November 24, 1984 in Torreón, Coahuila, Mexico) is a Minor League Baseball pitcher for the Kansas City Royals farm system. He bats and throws right-handed.
On November 28, 2008 Castañeda was signed by the Royals to a Minor League contract and might be invited to the Major League camp as a non-roster invitee to spring training.[4]

Christopher Paul Dwyer (born April 10, 1988) is a minor league baseball pitcher for the Kansas City Royals organization.
He was drafted by the New York Yankees in the 36th round of the 2008 MLB Draft, but did not sign. Instead, he attended Clemson University, where he played for the Clemson Tigers baseball team of the Atlantic Coast Conference. He was drafted again by the Kansas City Royals in the 4th round of the 2009 MLB Draft, and signed. He was rated the 83rd best prospect in baseball by Baseball America prior to the 2011 season, and was invited to Royals' spring training in 2012.

Irving Falu (born June 6, 1983 in Hato Rey, Puerto Rico) is a minor league baseball player, currently playing second base and shortstop for the Omaha Royals, the Triple-A affiliate of the Kansas City Royals. He attended college at Indian Hills and was drafted in the 21st round of the 2003 first year player draft. He is the cousin of the Boston Red Sox first base coach Luis Alicea.[6]

Roman Hernandez Jorrin (born 1987 or 1988) is a Cuban baseball outfielder in the Kansas City Royals organization.
Hernandez defected from Cuba.[7] He had a .299 batting average, .376 on-base percentage, .463 slugging percentage, eight home runs, 25 walks and 44 strikeouts for Matanzas in the 2009-10 Cuban National Series, his final season in Cuba. Hernandez signed a minor league contract with the Royals in February 2012 for a signing bonus of $550,000.[8]

Daniel Mateo (born August 8, 1991, in Miami, Florida) is an American Minor League Baseball Shortstop who currently plays for the AZL Royals.[9]

William Bradford "Will" or "Wil" Myers (born December 10, 1990, in Thomasville, North Carolina) is a minor league baseball outfielder in the Kansas City Royals system.[10]
Myers was drafted by the Royals in the third round, 91st overall, of the 2009 Major League Baseball June Amateur Draft as a catcher.[11] Myers signed a contract with the Royals, that included a $2 million dollar signing bonus, in August 2009.[12] He attended Wesleyan Christian Academy in High Point, North Carolina.[13]
Myers was ranked the third-best prospect in the Kansas City Royals farm system by Baseball America prior to the start of the 2010 baseball season, and was ranked among the top 50 prospects in baseball by John Manuel in Baseball America's Midseason Updated Top 25 Prospects. In January 2010, MLB.com ranked Myers as the 33rd-best prospect in baseball.[14] In November 2010, Baseball America ranked Myers as the second-best prospect in the Kansas City Royals' farm system.[15]
- Career
Myers made his debut in professional baseball in 2009, when he batted .369 with 5 home runs in 84 at bats with Royals' Rookie League affiliates, the Idaho Falls Chukars and the Burlington Royals.[16] Myers began the 2010 season playing catcher for the Burlington Bees of the Midwest League, and was named to the Midwest League All-Star team.[17] On July 1, 2010, the Royals promoted Myers to the Wilmington Blue Rocks of the Carolina League,[18] a league generally considered more advanced than those he had previously played in. In his Carolina League debut, Myers had three hits, including a two-run single that gave his new team a three-run lead.[19] Myers finished the 2010 season batting .315 with a .429 on-base percentage overall, and totalled 14 home runs, 83 runs batted in, and 85 walks between his time in the Midwest League and Carolina League.[16]
Prior to the 2011 season, the Royals shifted Myers to the outfield.[20]

Ryan L. Verdugo (born April 10, 1987) is a minor league baseball pitcher in the Kansas City Royals organization.
Verdugo attended Lake Stevens High School in Lake Stevens, Washington. He was chosen by the Philadelphia Phillies in the 43rd round of the 2005 Major League Baseball Draft, but did not sign. Verdugo then attended Skagit Valley College for two years. He was drafted by the San Francisco Giants in the 47th round of the 2007 Major League Baseball Draft, but again did not sign.
Verdugo transferred to Louisiana State University for his junior season, where he played for the LSU Tigers baseball team. Following the 2008 season, he was drafted by the Giants in the 9th round (267th overall) of the 2008 Major League Baseball Draft, and signed.
Following the 2011 season, Verdugo was traded by the Giants to the Royals with Jonathan Sánchez for Melky Cabrera.[21]
