Briarcliff High School is a public school in Briarcliff Manor, New York, USA, serving grades 9 through 12. It is the only high school in the Briarcliff Manor Union Free School District and is co-located with Briarcliff Middle School. The principal is Mr. James Kaishian and the assistant principal is Mrs. Debora French.

In 2008, it was placed 301 on Newsweek Magazine's Top 1200 High Schools list.

Sports

In 1998, the Varsity Baseball team were the class-D state champions. Since then the student population has increased moving it up to class-C, and today BHS participates in class-B sporting events. In 2007, the Varsity Girls Soccer Team was crowned the class-B state champions. As well in 2008 the Varsity Girls Basketball won the class-B state champions. The baseball and swimming programs have consistently been BHS's strongest athletic program. However in 2002 the Varsity football team was the class-B favorites led by such players as Higle, Blevins, and Lamar. They lost the state championship to Oneondaga at the Carrier Dome in Syracuse. The Cross-Country and Track teams were stalwart sectional 1 winners between 1985-1987. In 2007, the class-B girl's soccer team went for an undefeated season of 23-0.In 2008, the girls basketball won the title of state & federation champions. This marks the third championship for Briarcliff.

Winter Sports: Indoor Track, Basketball, Bowling, and Ice Hockey (team is combined with Pleasantville, Westlake, and Valhalla)

Spring Sports: Track & Field, Baseball, Softball, Golf, Lacrosse, and Boys' Tennis.

Defunct Teams: Skiing, Wrestling, Co-ed Volleyball.

Student Body

The student body consists of incoming graduates from Briarcliff Middle School. Additionally, students graduating from Pocantico Hills Central School have the option to attend either Briarcliff, Pleasantville, or Sleepy Hollow.

Post- BHS

Many BHS graduates matriculate at top-ranked universities and liberal arts colleges including University of Notre Dame, Princeton University, Williams College, Harvard University, Yale University, Columbia University, and Dartmouth College. Cornell University is particularly popular. Binghamton University is also a popular college choice as well with roughly 15-20 students being accepted there annually. Other popular college choices include Lehigh University, SUNY New Paltz, SUNY Purchase, Westchester Community College, and SUNY Albany.

Theater

The Briarcliff Auditorium was built in 1998. The following musicals have been shown by Briarcliff High School students since the opening of the new auditorium: Fiddler On The Roof, Cinderella, Bye Bye Birdie, Children of Eden, Footloose, Joseph and the Technicolor Dreamcoat, Oliver, Into The Woods, The Pirates of Penzance, Kiss Me Kate, and Little Shop of Horrors.
