The Bricktown Entertainment Complex was a downtown establishment located in Dubuque, Iowa. The Bricktown was a complex composed of the Blackwater Grill, the Fat Kat Pizza parlor, the Underground Bar, and two reception halls. The Bricktown was located at Third and Main Streets, in what was originally the headquarters for the A.A. Cooper Wagon Company. The building sits near the Julien Inn and the riverfront. The Bricktown was owned by Scott Neuwoehner and Greg Prehm. It was closed in 2009 due to financial problems, and there are now plans to open an Italian restaurant and bar in its place.[1]
The Bricktown contained a microbrewery, which was used to make a variety of beers. These beers were served at the Bricktown, and also sold to the public.
On Sunday morning, February 17, 2008, a fire broke out in the kitchen. Read the Telegraph Herald news article for more information.
