Brother-in-law
From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
A brother-in-law (plural brothers-in-law) is the brother of one's spouse, the husband of one's sibling, or sometimes the husband of one's spouse's sibling.[1][2] Relative to a man, the latter case (typically his wife's sister's husband; that is, the two men have married sisters) is occasionally called a co-brother-in-law, as they are each the brother-in-law of the other's wife.
For example, if Brenda and Irene are sisters, Joe is Brenda's husband, and Jason is Irene's husband, then Joe is Irene's sister-in-law, Jason is Brenda's sister-in-law, and Joe and Jason are co-brothers-in-law to one another.
