Bruce Taylor is a leading historian of the Royal Navy in the 20th century. He is author of numerous articles and books including The Battlecruiser HMS Hood: An Illustrated Biography, 1916–1941 (London: Chatham Publishing, 2005), the first "total history" of a warship ever written. Taylor's work aims to capture the essence and fullness of naval life through intensive research among primary sources.
