The special originally aired on CBS on November 27, 1979.

Censorship[edit]

  • When "Fright Before Christmas" was shown as a separate cartoon short on ABC's The Bugs Bunny and Tweety Show, the part where Bugs is reading off his nephew's list to Taz (dressed as Santa) was shortened to remove Taz's eating of glass Christmas tree bulbs (with a green one giving him indigestion) and a string of Christmas tree lights (which electrify him).

Availability[edit]

It was available on VHS, but this television special was released on the Looney Tunes Golden Collection: Volume 5 DVD along with Bugs Bunny's Bustin' Out All Over and Bugs and Daffy's Carnival of the Animals.
