Bulletin Board was the last album made by The Partridge Family and originally released by Bell Records. The album was recorded between July and September of 1973 and released the same year. The album cover was made to look like a bulletin board. According to the liner notes of the CD release, the album cover was created within a few hours due to time retraints.

The album is strongly influenced by David Cassidy, who helped pick out several new musicians, including guitarist Larry Carlton. Wes Farrell, the Partridge Family music producer, was even given a backseat to Cassidy's dominating influence over the production (most of which was attributed to Cassidy and Farrell's "creative differences"). Although Cassidy had already announced he was leaving the Partridge Family at the end of the fourth season, Bell Records allowed Cassidy some creative control because they were also forefronting his solo albums (which at the time of the release of Bulletin Board, Cassidy had released three solo albums).

The compact disc was reissued by Collectors' Choice Music in September 2008. Initially, the disc was available exclusively through the company's web site. The disc contains two bonus tracks which are solo Shirley Jones recordings from 1972: "Ain't Love Easy" and "Roses in the Snow."

Although the record was well produced, it did not chart and was the most commercially unsuccessful Partridge Family album, though the album has gained something of a "cult following" since it's reissue on CD.
