Butterworth–Heinemann is a UK-based international publishing company specialized in professional information and learning materials for higher education and professional training, in printed and electronic forms. It has publishing units in Oxford, UK and Waltham, Massachusetts, USA.
As of 2006, it is an imprint of Elsevier, of Reed Elsevier PLC group but had been run as a semi-autonomous part of Reed Elsevier since the mid 90s.
