Founded in 1976 and headquartered in Montreal, Canada, CGI employs approximately 25,000 employees in over 100 offices in 16 countries.[2] In French, the acronym “CGI” stands for “Conseillers en Gestion et Informatique,” or “Information Systems and Management Consultants,” in English. However, the official English meaning is “Consultants to Government and Industry”.[3] As of December 31, 2007, CGI had an annual revenue of CA $3.7 billion with an order backlog of CA $12.04 billion.
