CILAE (Centro de Investigación Latinoamérica Europa or Europe – Latin America Research Center) is a non-partisan, non-profit and independent think tank focused on fostering the sociopolitical and economic development of Latin America and its relations with Europe. The center operates as a foundation under Spanish public law and is headquartered in Madrid, Spain.
CILAE was founded by Juan José Almagro, Javier Diaz Cassou and Ignacio Fiestas in 2002 and is attempting to promote strategic thought and innovative solutions to Latin America’s problems, from a European perspective.
