COOK Trading Limited is a manufacturer and retailer of frozen ready meals, established in 1997 and based in Sittingbourne, Kent.
All frozen ready meals are manufactured without the use of artificial additives and preservatives in their production kitchen in Sittingbourne and primarily sold through their 33 'COOK'-branded retail outlets mainly situated in affluent market towns across the South East of England, a number of farm shops and other independent retailers throughout the UK and also online through their website. They have also recently started to expand as a franchise business.
In March 2007, COOK commenced building work on a £2.5million development for a new kitchen production facility in Sittingbourne which opened in October 2007.
Cook's food pricing is substantially higher than other market retailers such as Sainsburys and Tesco. A recent survey shows that all major supermarkets are cheaper.[citation needed]
