CRIDA is a Spanish institutional Centre formed through the combined effort of AENA (Spanish Air Navigation Service Provider ANSP), UPM (Technical University of Madrid) and INECO. The aim and object of the Centre is to become a Reference for Research & Development and innovation in the area of ATM in Spain.

Thus, CRIDA aims at participating and concentrating effort in all national, European and worldwide initiatives focused on R&D and innovation of the future Air Traffic Management concepts.

Activities such as innovative research, early stage validation of ATM concepts or performance assessment of future ATM (safety, capacity, efficiency) are the main activities of CRIDA. Consequently, a pure research organization (university) and the final ATM production body (ANSP) were needed for this initiative, materializing in AENA+UPM’s CRIDA Centre.
