Cahiers Européens de l’Imaginaire (European Notebooks on the Imaginary) is a French social science and humanities journal directed by Michaël V. Dandrieux and Vincenzo Susca. Although original in its scientific and graphic conception, the CEI sprung from an earlier quasi-homonymous journal, the Cahiers de l’Imaginaire which was founded in 1988 by Michel Maffesoli and Gilbert Durand. Established in 2009, it is published on an annual basis by the CNRS editions. Its approach is resolutely transdisciplinary and multilingual - it features contributions in English, French, Portuguese, German and Italian. The journal publishes articles by many of the leading European intellectuals and social scientists, such as: Alberto Abruzzese, Zygmunt Bauman, Michel Maffesoli, Edgar Morin, Serge Moscovici.
