California's 18th State Senate district is one of 40 California State Senate districts. It is currently represented by Republican Jean Fuller of Bakersfield.

District profile[edit]

2011 redistricting[edit]

After redistricting in 2011 by the California Citizens Redistricting Commission, the new district consists of the eastern San Fernando Valley. The district is heavily Latino and forms a gateway between Los Angeles and the Santa Clarita and Antelope valleys to the north. The new district lines will take effect in the 2014 election.
