California's 22nd State Senate district is one of 40 California State Senate districts. It is currently represented by Democrat Kevin de León of Los Angeles. The 22nd Senate district encompasses a part of Los Angeles County, including all of Alhambra, Maywood, San Marino, South Pasadena, Vernon, and Walnut Park, and parts of East Los Angeles, Florence-Graham, and Los Angeles.

2011 redistricting[edit]

After redistricting in 2011 by the California Citizens Redistricting Commission, the new district now includes 9.5% of Los Angeles County. Cities in the district include Alhambra, El Monte, Monterey Park, and West Covina. The new district lines will take effect in the 2014 election.
