California's 49th State Assembly district is one of 80 California State Assembly districts. It is currently represented by Democrat Ed Chau of Monterey Park.

District profile[edit]

The district encompasses the western San Gabriel Valley, with its western side abutting Los Angeles. The district is the first Asian American-majority state legislative district outside of Hawaii.
