Phacelia campanularia, commonly known as California bluebell, desert bluebell, or desertbells, is an annual native to the Mojave and Sonoran Deserts, commonly cultivated as an ornamental.

Height is up to 0.5 metres (1.6 ft). The whole plant is covered with glands and many short hairs. The leaves are toothed and oval to rounded. The stem and leaf veins are reddish, contrasting with the light green or gray leaves.
Flowers have five deep blue to purple petals fused into a bell and five protruding stamens with light-colored anthers. They bloom on a curving or coiling scorpioid cyme. Each flower is 1.5–4 centimetres (0.6–1.6 in) long.
