CAPITAL (also known as Capital Ethiopia) is a weekly business newspaper published and distributed by Crown Publishing Plc. The newspaper company is based in the Ethiopian capital city of Addis Ababa.
CAPITAL was established in December 1998, with a motto to promote free enterprise.
The newspaper is also equipped with opinions and special segments like the historian Richards Pankhurst's Corner, sports commentary, cartoons, editorials, etc.
Capital subscribers are ranging from local Business community, non governmental organizations, international organizations, academics and individuals. CAPITAL is a paper established in December 1998 that strives to promote free enterprise in Ethiopia, and inform the public at large about economic events.
It is a paper that tries to boost the free press and information flow, while encouraging and nurturing the private sector with necessary information. It promotes ideological changes and development among the civil society for the betterment of the country, and creates employment opportunities, whilst developing professional journalism.
CAPITAL is published and distributed every Sunday morning with the latest news on business activities and development in the country.
The managing director and executive editor, Ms. Teguest Yilma, was awarded the National Order of Merit (France) on December 16, 2009 at the embassy of France in Addis Ababa.[1][2][3][4]
