[edit] History

In 1988, Richard Grausman, a cookbook author and teacher, headed a program in twelve New York City high schools teaching French cooking and home economics classes. Grausman realized that too many students lacked viable college prospects or real job skills. He founded the non profit organization and designed it to enhance culinary arts curriculum in public schools. C-CAP has since expanded to five states and Washington, D.C.[1]
