Carol Cartwright

Carol A. Cartwright is an American academic administrator. She currently serves as interim president of Bowling Green State University, beginning 21 July 2008. She previously served as president of Kent State University as the 10th president and first woman to take the president's chair. She served as president of KSU from March of 1991 until her retirement in July 2006.
Prior to coming to Kent State, Cartwright was vice chancellor for Academic Affairs at the University of California at Davis and dean for undergraduate programs and vice provost at The Pennsylvania State University. Dr. Cartwright earned master's and doctoral degrees from the University of Pittsburgh and her bachelor's degree from the University of Wisconsin-Whitewater.
