Cartus Corporation is a services corporation specializing in employee relocation, including home sale and home purchase, household goods shipping, move management, property management, rental and temporary housing, settling-in, spouse/partner career transition assistance, visa and immigration services, intercultural and language training, relocation accounting, international assignment compensation services, policy consulting services supporting benchmarking, program startups, group moves, mergers and acquisitions, and change management. Cartus is a subsidiary of Realogy Corporation.
Cartus was formerly known as Cendant Mobility, a subsidiary of Cendant Corporation. On July 31, 2006, Cendant Corporation spun off its businesses into four entities. The Real Estate Services group of Cendant Corporation became Realogy Corporation. Cendant Mobility, formerly part of the Cendant Corporation Real Estate Services Group, was renamed to Cartus Corporation as a result of the retirement of the Cendant brand. In 2007, Realogy was acquired by Apollo Management, a private equity firm, for $9 billion. In 2010, Cartus acquired the well-respected worldwide relocation services firm Primacy Relocation. With this acquisition, Cartus now manages the relocations of more than 165,000 customers annually.
Products and Services
Cartus offers a variety of services that cover every phase of the relocation process including cost projection/estimates and budgeting, home sale and purchase, household goods shipping as well as government and global relocation, consultation, intercultural training and expatriate compensation services. Cartus also releases a yearly survey identifying the biggest challenges facing companies and their transferring employees.
Cartus moves more than 165,000 customers worldwide each year and serves half of the Fortune 50. 
Cartus has offices in numerous locations in the Americas, EMEA, and APAC regions. The worldwide HQ is located in Danbury, CT. Swindon, UK, houses the regional HQ for EMEA, while Singapore is home to the regional HQ for APAC.
Philanthropy and Citizenship
Globally, employees volunteer more than 25,000 hours each year, with charitable efforts and involvement around the world. In 2013 alone, Cartus' employees raised more than US $300,000 for charities. Cartus also participates in the United Nations Global Compact.
Besides charitable work and services, Cartus also has a long-standing organizational commitment to environmentally responsible policies and practices, including the creation of the Cartus Conservation Committee. The Committee’s purpose is the help Cartus reduce its impact on the environment and introduce measures that are practical, economical, and environmentally beneficial.
Cartus has picked up a few gongs. Cartus was most recently named 2013 Relocation Company of the Year at the Asia EMMAs Awards, adding to a growing list of awards for best practices, innovations, client and customer service, and organizational excellence.
Parent company Realogy was named one of the world’s most ethical companies in 2013, and Cartus has been awarded a number of honors for promoting work-life balance, providing employees with health and wellness opportunities and providing one of the best workplaces for commuters.
