Joseph L. Carwise Middle School is a grade 6–8 middle school in Palm Harbor, Florida. It currently has about 1,400 students. The current principal is Garrison T. Linder.

Carwise Middle has several programs. These include MEGSSS, a highly advanced math program which, by 8th grade, teaches 9th grade math course Algebra I and 10th grade course Geometry. IMAST, Integrated Math and Science with Technology, is also offered as a science course. These IMAST courses are the same topics as the regular students, but are faster-paced and involve more hands-on activities.
Carwise also is notable for having a very successful music programs. Six different instrumental classes are offered, include beginning band, intermediate band, advanced band, beginning orchestra, advanced orchestra, and a jazz band, who participate in different competitions across the state and receive superior ratings at every competition. Chorus classes are also offered. Eighth graders may get to do archery in certain gym class and can participate in the 8th grade dance.
