Category:Therapsids
From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
Therapsids were synapsids that began to appear in the Early Permian. They had larger temporal fenstrae (openings of the sides of the skull) than the ancestral pelycosaurs. Early therapsids were scaly, and ectothermic. The most advanced therapsids are the cynodonts, which were ancestral to mammals. This category is for non-mammalian therapsids.
