In its broadest sense, exclusionism is a preference for maximizing the usefulness of an article by removing irrelevant or superfluous information. Exclusionists share some philosophical similarities with deletionists as both seek articles of encyclopedic quality. However, unlike deletionists, exclusionists favor including articles on some non-encyclopedic topics.
