Great Offices of state include: Lord High Steward, Lord High Chancellor, Lord High Treasurer, Lord President of the Council, Lord Great Chamberlain, Lord Privy Seal, Lord High Constable of England, Lord High Constable of Scotland, Earl Marshal and Lord High Admiral. The holders of the majority of these offices do not have any political power today, although historically they were the most powerful positions in government.
