This category is for the unaccompanied child refugees, about 10,000 in all, who were sent away by their families out of Germany and Austria, and saved from Nazism, thanks to Operation Kindertransport, organised by the Refugee Children's Movement; and also for the 669 children from German-occupied Czechoslovakia who were brought out on trains separately organised by Nicholas Winton, which have become known as the Czech Kindertransports.
