Category:Members of the parliament of Sweden
The number of members are 349 since 1976. Between 1970, when the present parliament constitution began, and 1976 the number was 350. But as the general election 1973 gave an left-right parliament situation of 175-175, hence it was decided to use an odd number of members from the following general election, in 1976, and the number of members was reduced by one. The 1973-76 parliament has become known as "the lottery parliament" since large amounts of parliament questions become decided by lottery due to the common voting result of 175 "yes" and 175 "no".
