Category:New Zealand Māori people
From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
People belonging to the Māori indigenous race of New Zealand, generally believed to have arrived from eastern Polynesia between 800 and 1300. There has been considerable intermarriage with later immigrants, but people with any Māori ancestry may consider themselves to be Māori. The category does not include Cook Island Māori, who are a separate, though related, Polynesian people.
