Articles are automatically placed in this category if the merge parameter flag is set to a value of "yes" on the {{WP3K}} project banner attached to the article's talk page.

"Articles needing attention" include: those with POV concerns, lacking references, requiring substantial prose and layout overhauls, and assorted other general cleanup activities.

Once the particular concerns identified for the article in question have been addressed, the attention flag should be removed.
