If there's a category[edit]

of people executed by Francoist Spain, there should also be one for people executed by Republican Spain. Jose Antonio Primo de Rivera, Ramiro de Maeztu, Andreu Nin, General Goded, Archbishop Irureta of Barcelona, and Colonel Rey d'Harcourt would be a good start for the list. George Orwell would have been one of them, too, if he hadn't gotten out of Barcelona one step ahead of the NKVD. Many Catholic martyrs of the war have been beatified, and I believe a couple of them have become saints, so that would make them notable as well. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 80.33.158.121 (talk) 11:03, 4 July 2009 (UTC)[reply]
