WikiProject Bangladesh To-do list:

I created this category, but it is possible that "Bangla literature" or "Bengali literature" would be more appropriate. If you think this is the case, you can nominate it for renaming using the procedure explained on the categories for deletion page. CalJW 15:55, 5 September 2005 (UTC)[reply]

This is not redundant. "Bangladeshi" refers to literature related to the country "Bangladesh". Bengali/Bangla is related to literature related to Bengali language. The two categories are related, but not the same.
For example, Sunil Gangopadhyay is a Bengali writer from West Bengal, India. His writings will fall under Category:Bengali literature, but not under Category:Bangladeshi literature. On the other hand Humayun Ahmed is a writer from Bangladesh. So, his writings fall under both. So, these categories are not the same. Hope this helps. --Ragib 15:53, 21 July 2006 (UTC)[reply]
