Could someone give some description of what this category is? I assume it has something to do with Desi#Music? Is this a genre? If so why don't we move it to a subcatgory of Category:Musicians by genre? -MrFizyx 02:38, 12 June 2006 (UTC)[reply]
I'm a bit confused by this category as well. All the musicians here appear to be musicians from the global South Asian diaspora who reference their culture in their work -- but the articles are an incredibly limited subset of the all the Wikipedia articles dealing with musicians who fit that profile. I'd be interested in either expanding/reworking the scope of this category, combining it with some other, or possibly seeing it deleted. (I don't think it's entirely reasonable to subcat this under Category:Musicians by genre, as the actual musical genres represented by artists in the cat vary pretty significantly.) --Anirvan 17:02, 13 July 2006 (UTC)[reply]
