What about doing a sub division by country? Like they have for the UK and US? (ie Argentina rock band {{AR-rock-band-stub}}). Is it already implemented? Gadster 17:08, 24 November 2005 (UTC)[reply]
Five new country sub-stubs are in the pipeline: Australia, Canada, Finland, Germany and Sweden and should be active early next week. Are there at least 60 stub articles on bands from Argentina? Why is country the primary means of sorting band stubs, when it is so clearly not the way music is generally categorized in other contexts? I was just putting a stub on the new Mynah Birds article, and I wanted to clarify that they were an R&B band, so I added the US-R&B-band-stub tag. But then I quickly had to recant, remembering that they were based out of Toronto. I realize that sub-categories are on the way for Canada, but it seems like the wrong way to go about things. In this case, many of the performers were Americans, and the band was signed to an American label. So it's a Canadian band, sort of, but also an American one. But really, the question is totally uninteresting. The only salient point is what genre of music they performed... So why are the stubs done this way? - Ncsaint 12:41, 4 February 2006 (UTC)[reply]
Is it sufficient to tag an article on a classical ensemble as {{band-stub}}, or would it be useful to have a sub-division of {{classical-band-stub}}? Steve James 13:42, 18 January 2007 (UTC)[reply]
