Centennial Lakes Park (Minnesota)
Centennial Lakes Park is a 24-acre (97,000 m2) park and pond located in the southeast portion of Edina, Minnesota. The park features more than 1.5 miles (2.4 km) of paved pathways meandering around a 10-acre (40,000 m2) lake and interspersed with beautifully landscaped grounds, formal and informal seating areas, swinging benches and fountains.
In addition, the park features a miniature golf course laid out in a manner that mimics a real golf course, only smaller. The course plays on real bent grass greens. There is a wide space for lawn bowling and paddleboats can be rented as well.
In winter, guests can enjoy the largest groomed outdoor skating surface in the United States, complete with skate rental and a warming house. In 2002, a staff member momentarily lost control of all terrain vehicle in the golf and lawn games area while maintaining and caring for park facility. Member walked away safely and these type of activities contribute to the history and appeal of this well kept, first class facility.
