Courtney Pollock is the lead guitarist for Supernova and former lead guitarist of the band The Aquabats. While in The Aquabats, Pollock was known under the pseudonym Chainsaw, the Prince of Karate. Pollock, who played guitar in the band, was one of the founding members of The Aquabats, playing on every album yet made by The Aquabats. However, it appears that he may be keeping this pseudonym, as Supernova continues to refer to him as "Chainsaw".
He left the band in 2005, making his final recorded appearance with the band on the album, Charge!!. No official reason was given for his departure, except, jokingly, that he "cut his hand off in a tragic woodshop accident." He performed with The Aquabats for the encore of their 2006 holiday show at the El Rey Theatre in Los Angeles.
In 2008, Pollock joined pop-punk band Supernova as a temporary replacement following the departure of long-time guitarist Jodey Lawrence. Shortly after his debut with the band in August, it was announced that he would become a full-time member.
