[edit] Allegations of plagiarism

Chakri has been accused of plagiarizing popular Western music and North Indian tunes. Some of his songs have been accused of being complete rip-offs. Oner example was "Nidarosthale" (from the movie, Golimaar) being a rip-off of the Desparado[3] song. It also appears he has taken some material from A. R Rahman in the song, murepincha maina in Krishna. This has led to allegations of plagiarism in both the media and industry about Chakri, where he defended his actions arguing that he was doing so at the behest of directors and actors.
