Chandaur is a census town in the Dhanbad district of the Indian state of Jharkhand.

As of 2001[update] India census,[1] Chandaur had a population of 13,629. Males constitute 56% of the population and females 44%. Chandaur has an average literacy rate of 57%, lower than the national average of 59.5%; with male literacy of 69% and female literacy of 41%. 15% of the population is under 6 years of age.
